Nice composition, Michael, with the light shapes and the dark lines working well together.The presence of the valve adds a little mystery to the composition. You could have tried using a little bit of a "transparent" hand by using a very long exposure and putting the camera on a tripod. Say 1 second with the hand in place and 1 second with it removed, giving the. Keep the images coming, and welcome to UF. Anson

This shot was done early in the morning when I was experimenting with low light IR photography. I also had a small problem with the intensity of my monitor on the computer. Really too dark to be a conventional IR shot, and the similarity with the barn I shot today is purely accidental. Thanks for the comment and question Michael. Anson

Trying to get my photography legs back after being inactive for so long, Peter, and came upon this older piece of yours, which really caught my fancy. Beautiful composition, especially the subtle framing by the tree limbs and the vines on the buildings. I see you used your Rebel 400D for this! Most of your late IR work is with the 300; do you find it superior to the 400? I have been thinking about trying the 400 for IR. Regards. Anson

Those are very welcome words coming from you, Jim, whose work I have admired for so long. You have overall the most diverse and exceptional portfolio on UF. I cannot find an image that doesn't draw me into it, and your shot of the Boston skyline at predawn is a good example. By the way, I am having trouble getting my supporting membership restored with UF. Do you have a contact there I can talk to? I have hit a brick wall. Anson
