Great shot. Great background. Great light on her face.

In b&w non-commercial portraits I love to see a little more texture on the skin. It distracted me a little that she is hanging down to her chain, I'd be curious to see how it'd look if she was actually holding it.

Then again it's a great portrait and I'm sure she was very pleased with it as well.

I see similar use of light in your works that I like very much in Caravaggio. He uses light(in both ways, light and dark) to remark the details and expressions. I've mentioned it because in some cases that I see, this similarity is a part of your style. I sometimes get inspired by the same technique.

Unique. By chance do you like the painter Caravaggio? You could crop the little red thing on the left.
Congs.

I believe in the 3 facts of arts. Expressional expectations, technical expectations and estethic expectations. This and many other of your works fill exactly the fields. You are a bold photographer wanderind in almost every aspect of photograpy with a colorful portfolio. Most of all I see that you have a style. That's very valuable for any artist. Congs. Expecting to see you also in fotokritik com www.fotokritik.com

Whanks for your comment. The exact exposure time is 30 minutes. I didn't use any filter. The effect should have been a darker sky but there was a little light pollution behind the hill. ND filters cause loss of visibility of the stars in such scenes.

Nice light, I loved the grain. But how come so grainy? HAve you pushed the film to 1600?

A little too dark to my eye, I think it's because of the scan.
Well done

Wow, this is a photo to talk over half an hour. If you had enough light it could be better(to my eye) to catch still the right arm of the girl. This photo has motion, contrast, action and reaction, lines and detailed texture. Very well done

No I did no restoration but the copy I've scanned was already restorated, I guess, from the line passing over the left arm of the girl on the left you can see it.
And the dressing is one of the last signs of The Ottoman Empire, Ataturk had the infuence on 1925. That's what makes this foto seems really old to me, and the suprized emotion on the face of the two girls. How strangely they are looking at the photographer behind that huge camera and under the cover...

Thanks Pratim, the dark eye I think is a problem of printing and scanning, I have a print of it on my wall in which it's possible to see both eyes clearly, less contrast, how ever it is not as saturated as this one. This photo is published on a magazine callas Atlas few months ago,It's something like The Natioal Geographics of Turkey. It's one of my favorite shots. Thaks for your compliments.
