Hi Mike,
Nicely composed - and very realistic - though the painted background and yellow cast tell me this was a model on a display indoors?
I would maybe have a tweak with the colours to neutralise the yellow tint.
Great picture though that really shows off this majestic bird. The question I have though - is - is it - or rater was it real? is this a model, or a stuffed eagle?
Steve

The artificially blurred surroundings make it cartoon-like. And since we can still see that there are rocks and another tiger, we can even guess that the original image probably looked nice without blurring. If you want a natural softening of the background, use an aperture like f/2.0 or however small your camera goes; that will put things away from the tiger out of focus in a way that looks much more realistic.
This image would probably look good without any blurring; try uploading it so we can see!

Nice shot of a Siberian tiger cub, but I don't understand the bad way you did try to soften the surroundings Mike, it does pull the whole image down because it's not done very well....Best regards, Harry

I like the composition and just enough blur to suggest movement. Colors are good for a night shot.Looks like it was near Queens Midtown Tunnel. Good job!! Gene

Michael, this is a very nice night shot. The more I look at it, the more I see - it had to be late (you already said that), there are red lights with no cars waiting.
Imho, it's a tad overexposed - the street light on the left has really blown out. There's also a slight lean to the right (which I am guilty of myself, on occasion. ) You could probably fix that with a slight crop and possibly lose the offending street lamp.
Overall, though, very nice - good perspective with the street leading the viewer in.

I, on the contrary, find myself quite fond of this image. And I feel the two-point kind of unfair. The lines in this picture form a very good subject as an abstract. I did some cropping and I hope the author doesn't mind. In the modified image, I located the crossing point at the 1/3 and 1/3 of the image to emphasize it. It's a tragedy of the cropped lamp head and the presence of the garbage can.

Technically, this picture is fine, but it has no subject at all. The lamp is cropped, the bridge is too far to be the main subject, and the perspective effect is "empty" - meaning nothing else to see in it than just a perspective. Graphically, this image is very rigid with a kind of "T" composition, which doesn't strikes me as great graphically. Colors are boring too. What's left ? Nothing but a technically clean image of a piece of a place that I still know nothing substantial about after watching this image.
Sorry if it sounds harsh, but I thought I'd just speak my mind openly. No content here. Best regards.
