The linear effect of the shadows is nicely complimented by the curvature of the arches. It is a pleasant composition.

Very surreal. I like that your use of HDR was to create drama and fantasy and not pass the photo off as a warped reality.

Strictly my opinion, but seems just a bit over-saturated. The colors are a bit intense. I realize one point of HDR is the ability to capture a dramatic photo by processing bracketed shots. However should it be used to create an unnatural image? If you are looking for digital manipulation than this works. But if you only wanted to over come difficult shooting conditions you might want to aim for more realism.

Radical use of color manipulations. Harsh though.

I would like to see a bit more detail in the shadows of the left side. I feel that I missed part of the mood and emotion by not seeing this> Was there a reason you left this dark?
I liked the composition and the feel of the subjects.

This is truly magnificient. The rule of three is well played as the fore, mid, and background are so disparate that they are each their own. Yet together they are awesome. Nice work.

This location is in one of my favorite photo wonderlands. The divesity of Death Valley is wonderful. Badwater give you the opportunity, which you have seized upon, to see beauty in desolation, color in what appears monochromatic to the untrained eye. Good depth, good color, excellent composition. I love it!

Very well composed and very effective contrast. Did you do any shots down the row of trees? I think a perspective shot with the same color and mood to it would also be very nice. Also, was this a wide angle lens? The corners have that look to them.

Hmmmm I will be up there tomorrow. Perhaps I'll try. The problem is when the fog clears, all you really see is a taller mountain across a narrow valley. But I'll check out another shot there. Thanks for the input.

Good capture for this subject. Your information is also wonderful. I will share a link to your photo with people who complain about how hard they think there job is.

The light is harsh, however it would seem to be that it truly shows the harsh condition that the work takes place in and tells me a great deal about the envirnment. A perfect picture is not always the best in photojournilism. You photo fits the catagory very well. Congratulations.

Great composition. The fence line pulls your eyes in to the photo to find things deeper. The dramatic sky makes the black and white perfect.

Thank you, I like odd angles in photos, I think it can be much more interesting, and draw you farther into the picture. The storm clouds really helped me with the moodiness.
