I LOVE all the expressions you catch off the kids, you obviously spend a lot of quality time enjoying them. I LOVE this one as you have kept it quite natural and not applied the skin blurring that typifies a lot of your images. This would be STUNNING in a large frame up on your wall. I know I'd have it up for sure! Kind regards Dennis

I love the way you have cropped this and caught the fantastic expression (a difficult task in itself I know). I would have prefered the image a little more natural without the agressive softening applied to the skin. Kids have such great skin anyway, it's a preference purely of mine not to adjust this, although I would heal out the odd baby spot. Stil a great image though, well caught and well done. Kind regards Dennis

I like this! I like the way you have cropped the image and caught the expression in this girls face. It's different and it's powerful. The light is good too. As 'Sharon' perhaps rightly says above, it is a tight crop but I think it works OK here... It's a great lens that 105mm macro for portraits, isn't it! Regards Dennis

This is a great picture, I love it! A great camera that EOS 3, a great lens that 100mm f2.8, nice film that NPS, a great subject, and beautifully composed, perfect! If anything, could you try lift the eyes so that they were a little higher on the line of the top third? I think that would completely crack it!

Sharon, regards to you! This is a really simple image shot in front of a large window that I pulled their soft white curtains across. I took a light meter reading off the little girls face (there was another large window to the camera's right in the picture), to get an accurate expose on what mattered and to purposfully blow the background which would obviously be quite a few stops brighter. I also used a small aperture (f1.8) to push the background out of focus (whihc was about 2 metres back). The reflection is simply off their timber dining room table with the camera right on the table top. What you see is a true reflection and isn't done up in Photoshop or anything. It's a great easy shot to try if you can find yourself a glass table or polished worktop of any kind, go on and give it a try... Regards Dennis
