Interesting pose. But, I think the egret's feathers are a bit overexposed. But, everything is nice and sharp.

In case you're interested, there's a shot in my portfolio of a Great Egret right after he pulled his head out of the water with a fish in his bill.

I've seen this guy before. I like to photograph birds in Central Park as well.

With a brilliant white bird like the great egret, try spot metering the feathers in the highlight area and then open up about 1-1/3 stop from there to retain detail with slide film or digital. I like the composition, but you're just a hair overexposed.
