Reminds me a bit of the photos recovered from homes after Katrina--the post-shoot textures suggest extra layers of narrative, and draw me in.

Nice work, especially the inclusion of the reflective self-portrait, and the gravestoned background. A meta-photo.

Nicely direct--like the contrast of the sharpness to the slight blur of the spinnign record. Marred only slightly by the off-kilter, slight tilt perspective of the uneven horizon line at the bottom edge of the radio. Cool HiFi set!

Interesting that you went with B&W here instead of color--as it emphasizes texture and shape over subject and mood.

A feast of textures in lovely constrasted relief. Great work.

Ah love that sculpture and all the photo possibilities it offers--great work with it here.

Fascinating composition--reminds me of the tombs of pharaohs. Great use of natural light.

Interesting focus choices here--to keep the sleve sharper than the face. At first glance, one thinks this is a mistake, but I suspect there's more intention than meets the eyes. Almost works...

I completely know what you were going for here, R, and you nailed it. I love how the subject is looking at us, but the shadow prevents us from seeing his eyes very well.

Expert shot--you could sell this, easily.

Bravo, R!

Wonderful near-silhouette, with enough details to make it even more interesting. Tricky, skillful light here. Eerie...

Some portraits simply document a person's face, others reveal some things, obscure others, and create mystery. This portrait is in the latter category. Nice work!

Fun photo art, reminds me of tapestries or woven baskets, digital art before there was electricity.

What a delicious example of pure form meditation, aided by the vivid color. LOVE this! Goin in my faves.
