It has its very special atmosphere and attitudes, Andrew! First of all it doesn't even care to define if this is "inside" (house, room, etc) or open air. And so it soon conveys, it is a living room of somebody living in the open air. There is a very good amount of details and very big DoF, and as the overall composition is very well closed (in the sense that it doesn't contradict itself), it generates a feeling of something that really exists. Then the very nice lighting/toning turn the rather unsual scene familiar, in a way. The spectator doesn't wonder anymore about what kind of living room that could be.
Very original wor - could you try some more "things" put?

Excellent idea. Superb light, in beautiful background. The composition is very good also. An perfect example of how an great photo can be made with simple things in ordinary places but with brilliant ideas.
