Hi Valentin, Nice metaphore between old and new vs the Film vs digital issue. The deliberate tilt addssome tension, and interest to this shot. Well captured, and I find the saturation and use of colour very appealing. Good job.

Cheers,

Hugo

Hello -

Makes me wonder where this flesh is taken. Is it a flower or some ginger. Very nice....

Before it becomes embarassing ;-) It was not the double lens combo (impossible to focus that one hand held), just a regular macro and some severe cropping. See the original image here ;-)

Are you sure you didn't find a new use for a Pentax endoscope?

For Marek: Yes, this is a set of plates from Givenchy. I used on-camera flash for lighting (without diffuser), it is indeed harsh, I wanted a "geometric" look with clearly delineated shadows. Thanks for looking and commenting !

Are they stacked plates? What did you use to light them? Highlights on the edges are maybe a touch strong. I like the fact that the spacing to the final plate is larger than with the others - nice touch.

It was quite sharp until I saved it as JPG. In this particular case, the compression worked quite bad, it also made the blue plate look "dirty" (in the TIF file the blue is clean and uniform) and the pink plate "noisy". I tried with less compression, I got larger files but no visible improvement. If anyone can give me a hint...
