Thanks Mike for the comment you made on my photo.
This is a great landscape shot. I love the muted colors, the rolling hills, the puffy clouds, it exudes peace and serenity and makes me want to visit Idaho.

This is a wonderful and unique portrait with a nice range of tones. Nice and clear and sharp. Clever placement of the boy and the plate, opposite each other.

Nice eye. You've captured a great character here, but the crop is a little awkward. Too much headspace at the top and cut off at the thigh at the bottom. I think if you had moved in just a tad closer it would have done the trick.

Lovely photo. I love all the details: earrings, necklace, freckles, stubble. The diagonal composition is different and engaging. Strong contrast. Overall, nice work.

Mary Joon, I've studied the work of a lot of big name Iranian photographers but I must say your work outshines them all. Your entire portfolio is stunning, breathtaking. I love how you capture these small intimate moments on such an epic scale. It's a fascinating juxtaposition. This particular photo is heart wrenching. She's a beautiful girl on a beautiful desert road without a chador. It's a very liberating image. The irony, however, is that she is all alone, isolated from the world, unable to share her experience with the rest of us. This is, I think, the core of the struggle for Iranian women today. Privately, in our thoughts, in our studies, we have progressed so far, but culturally we are stuck. And so I see this, and I see her, and I see all the potential she possesses, and it makes me very very sad.
Don’t ever stop taking photos.
Nikoo

Excellent composition. The grain looks gorgeous. I know it was out of your control, but I still wish there was nothing going on in the background. I think a photo with just the bouquet and the couple would deliver a stronger impact.

Fantastic moment you captured here. I had a feeling it was NYC, even before I clicked on the thumbnail. Love the sharpness of the dog, and the softness of the person. Love how the dog's spots are sort of repeated in the pattern on the ground. Great job!

I love this! The light is incredible, as important to the mood of this picture as the "characters." And the black and white, although rather unconventional for this kind of "festive" picture, works wonderfully. And the food! The kabob. Oh yum!

This is really lovely. It feels very candid and intimate, and the crop is creative and fresh. And although you can't see either of their eyes, the picture still resonates emotionally. I bet the bride and groom were thrilled!

I like this picture, I love the title, but I just don't think the b&w works in this instance. There is just no contrast, and all I see is gray gray gray. I'd be interested in seeing a color version if it exists.

Nice composition and subject but the way his fishing pole blends into the water is jarring. Perhaps increasing the contrast would help?

Gorgeous lighting, composition, tones, contrast. Looks like a Dega painting. Nearly perfect. It looks like it may have been photoshopped a bit, and the harshness around the right shoulder is a bit jarring, but still very well done!

Very nice portrait. Love the tones and the sharp/soft focus. I wish we could get more detail in the eyes though. They come off a bit flat, missing that "sparkle." Still very well done!

Jose, Thanks for the nice comment on my photo. I really like this photo. There is a great feeling of serenity. My only suggestion would be to maybe use a polarizer filter to bring out the clouds a bit more. Best Wishes, Nikoo

There definitely is a lot going on in this photograph, and it's very lovely to look at, but something about it just falls flat. Maybe the light? The cake doesn't look white or bright enough if that makes any sense. Love the inclusion of the mirror.

Andreas, Your work is truly stunning. Every single photo in your portfolio is intriguing, and I just can't help but to click on the thumbnails to enlarge them! This one is particularly lovely. I love how you chose to shoot it at his level, from behind the table, and yeah, kids with glasses are so cute!
