Very nice view. The little sailboat sure gives this a nice perpective of the size of the scene. Don.

Good perspective and angle of view. Could be nice when the mist is a little thicker.

This is a very original subject. Very good composition. You did what is needed to enhance the character of the subject. The texture of the decaying painted mettalic boards is very well presented. Nice job overall. I wish you a merry christmass and a happy new year to you and your family.
Suzanne :-)

Welcome to the world of Photoshop limitations and of scanning problems, dear Therese. I have the same troubles. And I am very frustrated. Your sky has a magnifiscent color. To obtain such nice saturated colors of the sky, you have to sacrifice the main subject. If you adjusted your light on the foreground, the sky would be overexposed and colorless. That is one of the problem we encounter when dealing with landscapes. If I ever find the way to avoid that you will be the first to know about it. ;-) The composition is very good. All I can say to you now is to continue taking photos and don't be discourage if you encounter some problems. It is part of the game. I am the person you commented (the message in the blue door). Go back to my picture because I left you a message there and it is bigger than the one left near the door knob. ;-)))

Thanks for the feedback. I'm still figuring out Photoshop which is the cause for the lack of sharpness. The darkness is part scanning and part the sky going off to a deep, deep blue. I appreciate the critical and helpful comments.

at least two shots of mine are composed in a similar manner and inspired by the same concept, this one is very fine and well exectued; I find it a bit empty but is a choice not easily questionable
