Teresa,
I enjoyed your 50 Ford, as a "Car" person myself I was
wondering if you were using a flash fill on the backside
of the car. I note that the shadow from the front left tire
coming forward and the Sun is on the right side as you can see it in the bumper. My other though was the wall was light in color and were just getting a bounce light from the wall. Just wondering, if you have time shoot me an answer.

Marta, I appreciate you interest and comments. This pix was taken from the water, it was a smaller piece taken from a large overall shot. It was a little soft, so I added the filter to give it a little more contrast.

This was shot in natural light @4-5 ratio.(4-5 stops different from the Hi-lite to the shadow area). I don't see it lacking detail in the shadows. By opening the shadow to a 2-3 ratio you have exposed the single hair that is running across that eye in shadow and burned up the Hi-lites. Thats the wonderful thing about photography "It subjective".
