Ivan and Ray, I see what you're talking about but disagree. Seems that the one thing that's missing for me is the lack of contrast. Looks like there's a little bit of vignetting on the left of the frame but it looks like a Photoshop addition (correct me if I'm wrong). Also, I like how dark her hair is versus the guy behind her.

I think this photo would really pop if there was a tad bit more contrast, a little tasteful and subtle dodging and burning, leave the back groun in color, and ditch the vignetting (or do it a little more subtley).

This is indeed a great image. Can't wait to see what happens to it. Experiment.

I don't know if there's supposed to be a little humor in this photo but I find it delightful. There's something playful about the mood of this image. I love how stark it is too. Empty. Great. This is a great image.

as i agree this is a great image, i wonder one thing. how does everyone in this critique thread know that it's a candid photo?

Yes, but steam coming out of the kettle would be the obvious move here. A little too cliche.

Hey Cindi. This photo. It seems that this photo characterizes that attitude that you keep telling me to push for. There's just enough face to make you wonder what else is under there. Very nice.

More like this. And I agree, you should be in front of the camera just as much as behind it.

Pedro, what do you mean about the jpg quality could be better? Looks just fine on my screen. And besides, it's a LOMO.

Great shot. I love how trashy it is. Especially with the bits of trash at her feet. Have to love those Philly girls. They sure know how to party.

I've heard it said that shoes on wires mean drugs. I don't know what specifically it has to do with drugs other than it means drugs.

But my guess is that it's just kids having fun in the city.

Love the Lomo. Love the colors that it pulls from the sky. Nice image. Great orange vs. blue. Good shot.

This takes me back to a location from the Star Wars Trilogy (the good episodes, 4, 5 & 6). Almost feels that there should be three suns at sunset in the sky. Love the darkness. Adds a great kind of mystery to it. There's great subtle richness in the clouds that you really have to find. Very nice. More, Marc, MORE! Hee-ya!

Hey Cindi,
Long time, no speak...
For some reason, the comments that you sent me on the one Miss Argentina photo were deleted. Can't say why. They all were.

Anyway, LOVE this shot. I love this lighting. The kid's eyes are amazing. Great capture. I think that this is my most favorite of yours. I'd love to see more like this one. What else do you have?

Hope all is well. Speak to you soon.

I know I'm a little late on this one but I LOVED reading this entire thread. Good work to those of you who actually did the research before writing comments. Bad work for those of you who condemned, assumed, and generalized.

Let's keep up the argument. I'll go first.

Who really pulled the trigger on JFK?

GO!

Great. Vignetting is wonderful. The DOF is wonderful. Love the kid on the sliding board. Great composition. This is a great image. You've found yourself a really nice Holga there. Let's hope you can get a few more rolls out of it before it breaks.

This is a great image. Wow. Gives me vertigo. Great composition. Way to look at things differently. Funny thing about those kinds of cameras that I find to be a blessing is that sometimes they find their own compositions.

Great image. It'd be really neat 20" x 20" matted and nicely framed on a wall.
