I might try mono actually, and raise the contrast: I'm not sure if the photograph would benefit from having a complete range of tone (as at the moment there is no white) or whether I should keep the natural greyish bleak properties of the fog.

I like the shot, at first I thought it would look better in mono, and I still think it would look good, especially with a subtle tone, but the not quite desaturated colours are appealing. Composition is perfect.

You're right. I didn't realise when I uploaded it, but thisis the reaw image which i hadn't edited atall. I like what you've done, but here I lightened the shadows rather than raising the general light level/ saturation like I think you did. although I do like what you've done, the brightness makes the mood of the image more quirky, reflecting the cheekiness of the horse (even if this was completely unintentional!)Thank you for your critique!
