thanks, angela. i only wish i could visualize colors, textures, etc. while on the fly, so to speak. often, i just get lucky. your comments help me understand what i need to look for in such a photo.

thanks. the polarizer makes the skies very dark in high altitudes. although it seems a bit artificially blue, i like the effect. some, particularly my wife, do not.

Nice shot of the classic Yellowstone feature. Nice color and timing of the geyser. Good exposure control and contrast of the colors.
