Love this. The eyes are magnetically hypnotic and the dark tones of the animal's coat are excellent.

A great portrait of this young man, looks like from a movie...if it wasn't for the zipped jacket it could be straight from the 30s or 40s. The moody tonality is a good choice I think - he looks pensive and even uncomfortable, as if the frame is too tight for him.

Good composition. Looks like a team meeting. Tea cups having a conspiracy issue.

love the contradictory pose of the man and "empty word" on the wall as a reflection of something sad against the warm color and texture of the wall, as a reflection of protection; actually i think this is very tender and like it all around

It's actually a man (a drag queen). As for the skin, LOTS of Dermablend (a type of very thick foundation makeup that requires a spatula and a hair dryer to apply), and a bit of healing brush in Photoshop around the eyes. ;) Throw in very light tones and soft-focus diffusion, and, well, there ya have it. Hope this helps, and thanks for commenting. :)

you certainly know how to control the light and you did a great job but what have you done to the woman skin? no one have such a smooth skin

I'm not a professional to judge, I can only say that I like this image very much. Especially, the brightness of the skin, the pose and the combination of the colours.

I think this is wonderful. The creative lighting is so appropriate for his sad or contemplative look. He looks like he is troubled. The shadows create sort of a bust look like you'd find on a pedestal.

i really like the effort here. the brightness of his knee distracts me a lot but the pose is very cool. i like more creative approaches to portraiture such as this. Keep trying and post!

Growing up we had Hank Williams, Sr albums around the house...when I saw this shot I thought immediately of them. This is excellent and I bet he just loves it. Thank you so much for your thoughts on my Carly Dancing picture.

I guess I should change my name to Curmudgeon. Basically, I think it's a super photo, one that the requester should adore. My only quibble is with the uneven darknesses of the corners. The lower left looks a tad too dark and the lower right a tad too light.
