Yes, it was more than hand held...I was on a moving boat (quite speddy) when I shot this. I tried panning the shot and it worked with foreground (the waves are sharp).

That's what I call a good critique! Very useful and to the point! Unfortunately this is the best I could do with 17-85IS F4-5.6 (not 70-200L F4 as I thought) regarding the background. Anyway you are right about her hand and about the shape of those branches!
