Jim, Thanks for comment, you're absolutely right: I've checked, and there's not much lost in the crop. I should have angled the camera down a little more.

Hi Tony,

The shot was taken on 6x6 film so would yield blow ups of smaller portions of the door. Interesting comment about sharpness because the original is very sharp but the scans from the lab less so. I don't have my own Mf fillm scanner. Alas I don't live in Gaucin, but I've just had a very good holiday there and I'm sure I'll return.

Thanks Sam,
Exposure was pretty tough because the door was only partially illuminated by the sun, being as it was in a narrow alleyway. I guess I could photoshop the image in order to control the brightness bottom right while preserving the bright green top left.
