Bottom border of picture could have done with being in line with where path meets building. I would have used an OM4Ti for this. You've done a bit of a Hassle Bad here. Never mind.

Jim, Thanks for comment, you're absolutely right: I've checked, and there's not much lost in the crop. I should have angled the camera down a little more.

Beautiful capture. Ideally I'd love to see a tad more reflection perhaps to see the arches in the water. Aside from that nit stunning photo.

Beautiful classic shot with marvellious detail (of course since it's a Hasselblad). I really like the reflection in the water and I think that this is what makes the picture. Nice job!!!

Hi Tony,

The shot was taken on 6x6 film so would yield blow ups of smaller portions of the door. Interesting comment about sharpness because the original is very sharp but the scans from the lab less so. I don't have my own Mf fillm scanner. Alas I don't live in Gaucin, but I've just had a very good holiday there and I'm sure I'll return.

Fine door;lovely colours and textures.Fine as a whole but I think you could also have divided it up and done some closer, sharper shots of different parts of the door.Maybe you did!I hope you'll post them -this door has a lot of potential. The province of Malaga, where I live (Antequera)is full of abandoned cortijos with interesting doors like this one.Do you live in Gaucin?I was there once-a very beautiful village.Regards Tony.

Thanks Sam,
Exposure was pretty tough because the door was only partially illuminated by the sun, being as it was in a narrow alleyway. I guess I could photoshop the image in order to control the brightness bottom right while preserving the bright green top left.

very nice eye for the pssibilities the material offers... I would have liked it even more without the over-exposure
