Great job on this one. I really like the tight cropping. As in the other comments said, it really looks some kind of unreal. When you look at the picture without knowing it is a horse, you would have a hard time guessing it. Your really brought me to study the horse. I have never seen it that way. That's what a good photograph can do to you. You have seen it a hundred times before and then there is the one shoot. You look at it in totally differnt view. Wow.

I somewhat like it but why does this shoot stand out above the rest? Is there a story it should tell and I'm not getting it? Football is one hard sport to capture.

Nice picture, Olli. I like the symmetry and the ropes breaking that symmetry and leading you into the picture. Was the background boring, or why did you cut at the top?

I like it. Funny shoot. Not without danger for the photographer. The chicken looks kind of angry.

When I was at the Tour de France last year, I made similar experiences with unsharp pics. Did you shoot with autofocus? Then I don't think it's your fault. The AF ist too slow for that. I will shoot manual prefocused the next time.
I also have cycling pics from last year in my portfolio.

Cycling is really hard to shoot. These guys are so fast. Personally I think the faces could be a little sharper. Maybe the right guy is this one: http://www.gerolsteiner.de/index.php?id=1759

The fallen Kingdom...
Well done. I especially like the work on the DOF on this one. And the story is working.

I like it. What effect did you catch on the left side in the sky? A plane? Superman?

Hi Dave. Thank you for your comment. It's a Stevens Imperia Bike manufactured in Hamburg with an alloy / carbon frame.

Thank you. I really like what you did with the shot. How did you do it?
My intention was to make the picture with a cool, mechanical feeling an I was kind of pleased with the result. But your processing makes the shot work even better for me. Good work.

Great job on this one. I like the idea and the title of this shot. Technically perfect and the framing is top. Only the black frame on top is a little disturbing.
Did it the shot happen by accident?

I like te vertical format, the houses, the reflection (good work), but I don't know about the sky. Seems to be unreal.

Hi James,

the platform is built with a slight curve. I will give it a try with levels/cotrast later today.

Thanks's,

Heiko

Yeah, you are right about this. The seconds are clicking away. Time is the only thing that is shared equal between all individuals.
I think that it's hard to recognize the 'metronom' in the background.
Nice idea.

Hi James,

i like the idea of the underground series. Unfortunatly all three pics seem to be a bit overexposed in some areas.
Definitly Shanghai has clean subways.

Regards,

Heiko

Great use of light in this one. Just a little light can make such an impressing picture. Good work.

It's a great view presented in a different way. It seems to be unreal. I agree with Danny about the two pictures, but it still works for me. A little bit too much from the hill in the foreground. It also seems to be a little tilted, but that is hard to say (horizon in the background?).
Definitly I like this one.
