I like this one a lot. First of all I think this boy is one very beautiful kid. Love how you brought his freckles out.
The DOF just adds to the picture, so to does the "sepia" effect.
I do think his eyes is to fare up in the frame (rules of third"

Beautiful picture, very nice. I like the idea, compotition and pose, and what a beautiful little girl :). I would crop it a bit to loose the arm in the upper right corner and I would mute the roses color and at the end I would make it much softer. Like this, hope yoy like it.

Absolutely fabulous.
I agre, it does have an "Old Master" feel over it. Perfect lighting, composition and tone.
The only thing I would fix is to clone out the streak over her chin.
I'm not sure about the frame, the picture deserves better.

Well, I don't like the framing you made, it kind of takes atention away from the beautiful landscape picture.
Your picture has a kind of "Ansel Adams" feel over it, very nice
