Nice idea. I think that this image could benefit from a dark frame for presentation. Looks like a scary movie...Regards, Andree

Kyle, this is different. Good one. You have a different approach in photography. You have your own style and uniqueness. It's your way of expressing yourself and conveying the message you want others to know... in that case you're doing extraordinarily great! Keep that up!

Excellent picture Kyle ? a very cool shot! In general, any external artifacts (borders) that bring excessive attention to themselves often detract from the image and so should be avoided! It is after all, all about the image -... Curtis Feather makes his point well!
But your ?Rainy Day? works very well as is, just the way you presented ? the shot has a fine vibe going and the frame is applied in good taste and does the picture justice.
Regards.
C.

How about taking a picture of the tablet? Does that have a pen type mouse? The picture would be much better sans scribbles. LOL

Hi Kyle,
This is a pleasing image. The b&w tone and the strong contrast blends perfectly well plus the grain effect that adds to the drama in this scene. Not to mention the blurry background! extraordinary work!

You're so young and with BIG potential, Kyle. It's a good thing you started at an early age, me I just started few months back. I know you'll make it BIG in photography as I browse thru your portfolio, and all of them are very impressive!

Keep shootin'!
rgrds,
Larry

This is a nice piece here. Keep experimenting around and try all types of photography. As for borders, I find many people on this site who overuse black or colored borders without real artistic purpose, but just as a design element or graphic necessity, when actually often they weaken the images. My best advice would be to really think about whether or not a border will enhance your image and what the purpose will be. If you have a black and white image I would highly suggest for the majority of the time to have nothing or a white tone border, which allows the range of tones to pull forward, much like a matted piece in a gallery or museum. good luck.

I selected the black border, pull some color from your image and used edit and fill. I then copied and pasted the selected border and applied a bevel and emboss filter under the layer options. Glad you liked it.

Yes, yes, thats much better. It's awesome! How did you do the border itself (the beveled edges, etc)

I love the image. I think that the border being black and the image being dark does not work so well for this shot. Maybe pulling the color from the shot for the border. Just an idea. See below, hope you don't mind.

Great perspective! Love the lines and curves against that great sky! B&W works very well here. Nice contrasts and tones.
Could have used just a bit more sharpness.
Nicely represented!

Very nice Kyle, I really enjoy the mood of this shot. May I suggest changing the angle on shots with fence posts, so that you create a depth of field. Well done.
