Manu, i didn't change any settings at the camera though i use manual option. WB and curve was at the default. I'm planning to download some curves that is set to give certain color slides quality and i'll let you know once i have some pictures taken using this curves. Should be interesting!

Thanks for coming back to me...one last question, did you adjust any of the camera saturation, hue, curves, exposure, WB etc within the camera? I notice that there is an optimizing setting for green landscapes, have you changed or ever used this setting?

Cheers for the input

Manu

Manu,
I've done minimal changes in PS (reduce brightness and increase slightly the contrast. I've attached the original file for your viewing).

Here are the setting details :

Exposure time : 1/320 sec
F-stop : 4.5
Focal Length : 70.0mm

Good shot. The colors are very saturated and soothing to eyes. Treat to eyes.

Excellent range of definitions and green tones...well done. I'm off to Sri Lanka at the weekend and will be hoping to capture similar views to this one. I also own a D70 and it would be helpful if you could let me know what setting enabled you to get this wonderful green color or was it changed in PS?

Any help would be appreciated

Manu

Excellent effect you have achieved with your editing, it almost looks to me like an x-ray image.

It is very simple image but very interesting and has a magical feel to it with the glowing green hues.

Thanks

I like this photo alot, I had a beagle that looked just like Brownie. With the white surrounding Brownie it looks as if she is popping out of the picture, nice effect and sweet looking dog.. Alison

Lovely dog. But with a D70 and a 50mm f 1.8, even at f 2,8 this MUST be sharp. Try it again and not only the nose. Regards, Rob

Hi,
Interesting choise of focusing on the nose, kind of different.
The shot is a bit overexposed thought.

Hi Partiban, The colors here are beautiful and very clear this could be a great photo. I have two suggestions though.. first turn the date stamp off on your camera I personally find it to be distracting, just write the date on the back if you really need it. Second I would have either zoomed in on the eye to fill the whole photo with the tiger or zoomed out a little to capture his nose so it does not look cut off. Hope this helps K
