It shows emotion and creates an atmosphere, but that's about it. Most people would disregard this as a missed opportunity.

Tender and intimate, if a little over exposed.

Hello Kristen,
According to me you don't need a blur..
..but the effect on your eyes is interesting.

Yea, I tried to brighten the photo a bit b/c the original is a bit dark. I too noticed the ball on my nose and the other areas. What can I do to brighten it up but with out the troubled areas appearing? The effect of the eyes is apart of the original photo, I didn't make any changes there. Thank you for your comment. Here's the orginal...

Hi kristen.

i think this 'blurry image' works quite well - with the only exception of a little bit of overexposure on the nose and forehead.

I personally do not like the effect on the eyes - but I'm sure there are others that will argue otherwise

the image sort of gives me the impression of a door camera or security monitor

All the best

Steve

Yes it just reminds that state of mind... everything is still recognizable, but blurred
Really nice, maybe it would word in colours too

Ciao

Well done: more contrasted but not too much
The eyes are more "alive"
I do like this photo, really, and the edited version is far better
I'm happy that you can understand my bad english

Thanks for your comment Max. I edited my photo a little, what do you think. It's a little more dramatic than before.
Hope it's not too much.

Magnetic glance (is it correct?) and nice crop
Can't stop looking into your eyes

Maybe the conversion should be more "contrasted": try the channel mixer so taht you can choose the right balance of the three colours (red, green and blue) in order to have the more vivid and interesting B&W
The white in the eye is grey

Anyway nice photo

Ciao

Nice crop and expressions... but maybe the Unsharp mask is a little too "strong"?
Nice B&W

A nice crop, maybe a bit less hairs above, just to balance the composition.
It's a pity for the shadow on your left eye
Try again, the same model shoud be easy to find ()
