It a nice shot; but for the title I think the cropping is wrong. The current layout the focus is on the girl.

I like both girls in the photo. They contradicts each other. The one on the left would rather do something; while the one on the right loves this activity.

Luke, you are right. The light source in the upper right corner is fixed and the only other souce was the pop-up flash. Got a bigger flash yesterday and thinking about redoing that scene.

I don't like to composition so much. I think you should have position the tree more to the right. Possibly giving the impression that the tide is coming in.
