I would just leave the black in the upper corner. If you cropped it, you'd have to cut off both the ears. And it would be nice to see the full color version.

Very colorful! The tungsten light worked well to enrich the color even more.

I personally really like the light in this picture, offering great contrast. If the tiles had been uniformly lit, the photo would have been very boring I think. Good job also in emphasizing depth in a predominately flat image.

I like this angle a good deal. You manage to make the cat look more majestic and proud, rather than the normal shot down at or level with a pet. I'm not sure that I like the eyes modified, though, and it seems a shame something got in the way at the top right.
