Ah, a fallen pollen-covered soldier.
Excellent macro work, Sally.
And hand held? Very good.

This reminds me of my Tosca image here.
I see you've got the new S3. Studying this fine work, it seems to have a better autofocus than my S2!

Good close detail on both fur and inscrutable eyes.

It's very, very rare for me to get a comment here, so thank you, Sylvia.

Danny boy loooks cool feline dude.

Superb isolation of your cute subject, Dave.
DOF and light are first-rate (as always). Wonderful contrast against the textures and colours of the frost-covered branches.

Stunning work as ever, Rich. Blackie is the star of the invertebrate world. The undisputed champ in his ring, I suspect!

Where do you find him? Or do you have an inexhaustable supply of Blackie clones.....?

Excellent fine macro of this flora and fauna, Jason. The colour, detail and DOF are first-rate.
The blurring from the fast wing beat at the farside, is unusual and adds originality.

Rafi!
Happy new year to you! I wasn't aware that the Jewish new year was in September - I've learned something else!

A very accomplished DOF and focus, with superb colours and composition, here. Love the furry little beastie!

An accomplished macro work, my friend.

Thanks Dave, much appreciated for the support.
The lack of comments in my recent revisit, make me coclude that my images are poor.

Mmmm, yes - sci-fi and photoart. Two of my favourite subjects. And you've melded the two into a wonderful hybrid here, Shirley.

the dominant use of the 'electric' blue combined with the very blank human, and innocent, round eyes - is quite startling and visually highly appealing.

I like the gradual use of the darker blue towards the bottom. And the central heart of red, and outlined white, gives a hint of mystery,

Thanks for the info, on this incredible, merciless and ferocious, jumping, hunting, arachnid bio-machine, Rich.

A good shot and positioning of these livestock stars, Sue.

Neat bit of typical Northumbrian verdant countryside behind, also.

Those big black eyes don't miss much do they, Rich?

Tappy Junior here, is so hairy, he almost looks like a cuddly toy...not that I would dare take such a liberty...

Stunning work, Timekeeper.

This has lots of interest, as the contrast in both colour, with warth and cold, creates a fine mood.
Thanks for your comment, Kes.

Sue, you're beautiful such blue eyes...sapphires!Excellent photoart (as I previously remarked)
Your PS skills are superb now. I remember this time last year, on an Alnwick music festival image, you didn't know how to clone out water/lens flares! And now look... The Angel, King Arthur Angel and his pet Wolf! Sublime.

This landscape work is very impressive, especially with the light and contrast tones.

The colours of the land and sky with the dark bases, threatening a little rain, appears very realistic. Excellent composition, and good focus from foreground to the distant hills and white fluffy clouds.

The sweeping curve of the track around the hill, together with the encroaching trees - looking like an advancing army - is superb.

Colin.

Wonderful portrait skills on your beautiful self-portrait, Monika. I particularly like the way you've made your hair in sharp focus, and your skin tones soft, thus ehancing your beauty further....

I could never get the A95 to take shots like this, Denitsa!

For colour, light, clarity, contrast and absolute aesthetic beauty, this takes some beating.

Nothing less than full marks for this!

Canny owld fotoart here, Marky marra.
Good sharp focus in the centre, and I like the choice of strong colour, to emphasize your main subjects. Effective peripheral border, an all....

Just see this on photo of the day, Stan - super colour definition, and the 'angel rays' light beams coming through the foliage, is very special. You've caught the man' pose - as if giving praise to the God's of nature.

Superb and worthy.

Still astounded by the quality of your macro work, Rich.

The absolute quality of this capture (both captures!!) is illustrated magnificently by your image -

- and all those millions of years of evolution, for this ultimate invertebrate predator, obviously haven't gone to waste!!

Wonderful concept image, Mitchell. Unusual b&w choice from you, but even without the powerful colour, this simple but superbly emotive image, has great visual impact.
