I like this shot - it's perfect in b/w, and the exposure is hard in such conditions, but you got it spot-on. Almost perfect, but you need to straighten the horizon to get it complete.

I would love to see more detailed photographs of this old pier. Hopefully also in colours.
Keep me updated if you do, please......

Thnx

amazing!!!I'm a brand new photography addicted and I tried for hours this kind of shot with long time exposure and the result was loads of messy and confused lines..this one keeps the sense of a still photo but with the fascination of movement!congrats

Thanks Ron, I must admit it's a bit of a freak shot, it's at full zoom. The light must have been just right, most shots I take with this lens are nowhere near as good. I wish I could afford an L series lens!

Interesting abstract with a very surreal feeling to it. Nice hues and DoF. Hope you wiped the pollen off your lens... *smile*

Thanks Sally, is there anything 'unsharp mask' can't fix? Apart from my spelling!

Nice colours and clouds, and I like the way the beach curves off and vanishes. I reckon you should try a little 'unsharp mask' to bring out a little more detail and contrast.
It's a very calming image.
With a name like yours, how could you spell Scottish with one 't'?

Only in northern Britain do you get beautiful beaches, which are totally deserted. This looks a bit like clachtol beach, in sutherland.

A fine wide-angle sweep of the bay in your image, Scott.

Thanks Jason, I know what you mean I was thinking maybe I should have included a bit more of the pier and took it right across the frame. Or like you say put something at the end of it.

nice shot Scott, would of liked to see some detail in the pier or a boat on the horizon near the end of the pier
