6/3/2012 12:49:23 AM

Intriguing use of desaturation; gives it an almost cinematic quality, as if this moment was pulled from commercial.

You've captured some amazing textures in this photo, in addition to a very evocative stare.

Interesting use of black and white in combination with the motion blur; gives it a surreal, dreamlike quality.

6/3/2012 12:41:44 AM

Elegant in its simplicity. Well exposed for such a variety of similar tones, along with just enough contrast to keep it dynamic and visually engaging.

excellent long exposure work, it gives those breaking waves a tranquil, yet almost menacing, presence at the same time

I love the contrast in colors and light qualities you've captured in this photo - it all makes for a very compelling portrait - especially intriguing are those hints of detail within the shadow areas - great work

great angle, a really dynamic perspective

a very dynamic and compelling angle - the canting pays of tremendously and allows the viewer's eye to be guided to the crux of the photo - excellent work

a superb use of dramatic lighting to inform the mood of this photograph, not to mention your exceptional execution in terms of composition and exposure - fine work all around

simple, eloquent, and well executed

interesting shot - I really love the contrast of the dark stone against those vivid patches of grass - my one suggestion would be a tighter crop on the structure; the stones in the bottom left corner and the dark branch that stretches into frame on the top right don't help the composition - nice work

a great find and interesting approach to composition - your choice in angle really sells the serpentine nature of that branch - nice control of D.O.F. to settle the view on the foreground - maybe a little tweaking might bring down the highlights across "its" back of bark, giving a little more detail to that surface - fine work

3/14/2009 2:51:31 AM

great composition, such a compelling arrangement of shapes against that expanse of sky - the reflections on the leftmost building just adds to the effect - wonderful work all around

excellent long exposure - great work

3/14/2009 2:48:25 AM

great exposure for b/w - especially impressive with the amount of detail you've maintained in the shadow areas - fine work

3/12/2009 3:59:37 AM

interesting shot, though it might help experimenting with the crop and trimming some of the left edge off (as it's blown out and doesn't add much to the photo) and staring in line with the stone pillar - this might also reinforce a sense of depth down this hallway - great work nonetheless

3/12/2009 3:55:48 AM

a compelling composition, done just right - those lines really work in this instance in keeping interest in the shot - nice work

3/12/2009 3:52:38 AM
