I really like the color and composition of this picture. The background trees in the fog set off the lone tree in the forground very nicely. The large expanse of sky is very effective. Good work.

Thanks for your comment on my Golden Gate Bridge picture, Douglas. I see from this award winner that you have taken some pictures of it too. I can't say much about this picture other than, "great job!" It is a nice combination of nature giving you a good opportunity and you making the most of it with good timing and a good eye. The composition is great and I really like the black and white treatment.

Very nice silhouette at sunset Khaled. The colors are great and I like the compositon of the scene. I had the good fortune to visit the Citadel last year, but didn't get any shots this good. I wish I would have stayed until sunset. Nice work.

This is a great shot. It does capture the excitement of Oktoberfest. The slow shutter is very effective in capturing the motion of the carnival ride. Great job.
