Sorry Boubekeur, obviously my French is poor and my ability to guess is worse. Never the less, this is a great photo.

Hi Paul,
It was a pure gift. I had only the time to put my camera on and compose very quickly this double "third rule" picture. One minute later, the lady (I'm a man ;-)) left.
Street photography often provides eye catching situations that you can't negociate : we have to take it or keep it definitively in our memory.

Boubekeur, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you are the person (silhouette) in the photo. When I was young, like you, I used to set my camera on a tripod and use the self timer so I could be another element in the picture. It was a lot of fun and a great way to learn about composition.

i like the blury effect, maybe too much at the bottom. i would loved to see more of the flame but it's only personal choice.

how do you go about such a candid photo? you compose and wait for the subject to be in the frame or you follow them and shoot?
