I am sorry what happened in those days here in Canakkale Gallipoli .
For what those are killed for the name of imperializm

Those brown pigeons are called KAPLAN (means Tiger )
the ones who are capable to somersault while flying are very valuable..The may cost up to 50 thousand dollars.
In south eastern part they even put on them the jewellery.(attached picture)
There are some SPECIAL races they were developed in the Ottoman Palaces called HUNKARI (means that Sultans pigeons ) sorry :)) just wanted to give more info..
