Hi Fadel. I have been VERY busy the last few weeks, thus little opportunity to post, or even comment. Wonderful to see these recent posts of yours, and when I get the chance I will give them the proper attention they deserve. Right now I only have time to wish you all the best for a healthy and happy 2006. BTW ... it is the business of photography that has kept me occupied, not holiday merriment.

your photos have such a original and subtle mood.
this one is pretty gloomy, yet striking..
Excellent digital manipulation as well.

Many thanks for your kind comments on my photos, wishing you all the best in 2006 :)

I like the unique lighting on the wave, the timing of the two waves together with the clouds make for a nice composition. The rock also adds alot. Glad I could inspire.

the wide view with your 10-22 zoom lense has craeted a dramatic scene here, composition is carefully and interesting, grains enhance feeling, but i'm realy distract with lack of sharpness and quality.

Hi Fadel,
There is a great sense of being drawn into the scene with this image. I think your placement of the horizon is perfect. The solidness of the horizon line doesn't bother me too much. But I know what Peter is talking about. It is possible it could make the image draw the viewer in even deeper if you tried it Peter's way.
Things seem to be picking up a little around here just in the last day or two. People settling down from holidays and the site being a little more stable, might have something to do with that.

Gorgeous and moody....love the motion of this!

This is excellent, Fadel!
I love seeing ultra-wides put to good use. The slow shutter and dramatic sky coupled with the choice of B/W all work to make this a top notch image. Personally, I think the horizon looks fine. I don't really see a reason to smooth out the sky/sea transition.

Best regards,
Bob

The first thought in my head was how fast life rushes by. The blur of the waves coming towards me leaves me feeling in a bit of a panic. Very dramatic and effective work. Well done~

you are officially the master of the moody landscape with a special touch! I think I saw Chris' work. It was inspiring, but you are at least on the same level!

Sorry about the typo Fadel ... I meant use the median filter in Photoshop ... it smoothes out any extreme pixelation

Using that would smooth out the transition from the sea to the sky. I have to be more careful about my typing:)

Thanks Peter for expressing your opinion, but I didn't get the medium filter, a GND?

Peter Nettleton Peter Nettleton   {K:245} 12/28/2005
Excellent long exposure ... if anything I would have used a slight medium filter on the horizon just above the sea level ... thats just my opinion
