I think I’ll not be a 3D addict, I am already a pan maniac. For two years I used the Panorama Factory. But it only merges one single row of pics. Now with Autopano I got a new life. Sure I sound like a peddler selling some goods but I strongly recommend you this program. It can stitch as many rows and as many frames as you like, it depends only on your hard drives, not RAM. Yesterday I stitched 125 frames and got 170 MP with an ordinary comp. Download and try. Its here - http://www.autopano.net/. Valery

I use ArcSoft's Panorama Maker3 for stitching large images. It works very well providing the individual frames are taken with 70mm or longer lenses. Shorted focal lengths introduce too much distortion. It will only tile 16 frames but is able to accommodate as many frames horizontally as you want use.
To create really big panos I use Panaroma Maker3 to stitch several horizontal layers and then I stitch the resultant layers manually.
If distortion does occur then I use Altostorm's Rectilinear Panorama Home to bring it all back into line.

Yes!!!! I did it. I saw 3D. You have a wonderful portfolio, Martin, it’s a shame there are so few comments. From your recent I like the seagull and 17 frame panorama. Did you do it manually or used some stitching program. Two or three weeks ago I found for myself Autopano Pro. Valery
