Oh no! And I thought I could send the photo to the contest "Capture an angel"! ;-)

Thanks for the reply, Henrik. Isn't that starnge? And perhaps also the direct result of our world that is only "practical"? I also have very little time to write to you all and post the photos, because of the job, vereyday life, and all the other blahblah. It seems we have so little time to do what we find worth doing, but if so, then why is it expected that we do our best, when we don't have much time to do what we *can* do best?

Very strange this world, my friend!

Have a nice (rest of the) weekend!

Thank you so much, Doyle!

Indeed, it has been so cold on that day, that I had my doubts if this shots would get a bit nice, considering all that trembling! You see, I didn't have the tripod with me, since the sunlight was so bright, but I didn't think about temperatures acting as picture "destabilizers" because of shaking hands.

I think I was lucky that it worked at the end.

But one thing is for sure! Never, never again, without a tripod on such cold days! ;-)

Best wishes,
Nick

Many thanks for the kindest comment, Susan!

And how cold it was! The fingers of the old photographer felt like ice cubes, but it was worth it!

Best wishes!
Nick

Thank you Giuseppe, and you are absolutely right! This was one of the images that made me thing that I need a new good scanner. Indeed the scan doesn't have that silky feeling, but as already said, I hope that using the better scanner and the better software, I will be at last able to post my photos with more fidelity. (If not, then I'll have to send the originals to the server admin ;-))

Many many thanks and best wishes!

¡Gracias otra vez y recuerdos!

Henrik, my friend, thank you very much for the nice comment, but what do you mean with "angel"? Did I miss something on my own photo? I try to see that angel, but I can't - can you enlighten me here?

Cheers,
Nick

Many many thanks, Nivola, and please excuse the late reply. I am reading and learning how to scan correctly and I see now that I am less than a newbie in this domain. But it is so interesting!

Keep well and keep it up!
Nick

You get an A+ for perspective on this one Nick . . . it's quite unique. The interplay of light and shadow make for some interesting diagonals that play into the two major diagonals running in the other direction . . . all of which does draw the eye of the viewer into the scene. It does look cold ;)

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

A very nice and unusual shot Nick. I really like the light and the colors. Quite dramatic because of the angel.
