This MP-E 65 is a dedicated macrolens made by Canon. On a full frame body it gives a magnification from 1:1 ( lifesize; photo filled with an object 36mmx24mm) to 5:1 ( 5x lifesize; foto filled with an object 7,2mmx4,8mm). Its a completely manual lens and it does not have a focusring. You can only zoom between 1:1 and 5:1 by rotating the lensbarrel. Focussing is done by moving the camera to front or back untill the objects looks in focus.This lens can not be used for other photography because the longest workdistance is 100mm( 4"). This photo was taken at 1,5 times lifesize.
