Thanks Klaas . . . I glad to see that you can appreciate the technical nuances of this shot . . . ISO usage up to 1600 to gauge the noise and grain allowed the 1000 with least amount of issues..... I've never deleted so many shots on a photo shoot before in my life! Thank goodness for digital! ;)

I like racing a lot Doyle, and the image you've presented here is IMO a good one. One can see the action in this image by using the shutterspeed you've chosen. However you used Isospeed 1000, this image seems to be free of an overlot off noise.
Good work my friend, take care,

Klaas

A top notch image, Doyle! I really can feel the movement in this shot! Well done! Dog shows, motor racing, rodeos - you are an action man!!! :)))

Cheers

You're welcome, Doyle!:) I did look at the other photo of the tower, and it gives perspective. Love your post, though!

Wow! Thanks very much Wouter! I appreciate the comment very much and it reflects EXACTLY what I was thinking . . . we have a pretty good idea what effect this motion had on the cars!

Great action shot that tells a lot. You don't need to see the cars to know what's going on. I like the vivid colors and the crop.

Thanks Shirley . . . I posted another view of the tower in the comments so that its relationship to the track would be more clear . . . if you're interested. :) We all had a good time.

Thanks Laura . . . it was great to see them up in that tower....he had a LOT of flags with him too . . . I could see me passing at 106mph and seeing the blue and yellow flag waving, not remember if it meant dog on track, pizza for lunch or your car's on fire, please pull over!! LoL. :) I have attached a distant view which gives an idea of the position of the tower after the turn . . . and it looks like nighttime outside the track!! :) We had fun!

Good shot Doyle! The blur of the green flag gives a sense of action. Colors and lighting are good.
