Ben, Fantastic surrealist image! Your images are some of my favorite "Alteration of Reality" work.
Luis had asked is it a photo? Art is many things to many people. Photography is the same. Some see photography as only a way to capture reality. If that were true we would not use different lenses, filters, and lighting to adjust reality to the way that we "wish" to see it. A camera is as much a tool for a artist as a paintbrush and pallet. This is why most digital editing controls use painting terms. Beautiful work! Cheers, Robin

First congratulations with the strong images on your site, you surprised me and that's what I like:-))
The images I make now are a logic folluw-up from what I did as Art Director in advertising, where surrealsitic artists were and are still now a source of inspiration.
Not pure one-shot photography but concieved with many shots.
This image is made with 3 shots.
When I saw the tree, the idea growed in me to make this, it's pure phantasy. Phantasy was a must in my proffession and is still now in my hobby.
I got lucky because they win prices here in Belgium and other countries and are published in books and magazines.
I'm asked many times to explaine how they are made in workshops.
So, it's feel fine to be apreciated for those crazy images.

You known Ben I love the surrealistic images, likes Dalí paints, in this case te PS edition is perfect, and the composition too, even to center, but don't worry is good... But tell me is a photo? Here in Argentine we have a bizarre discussion about the "digital art" it's photograph...?
