great Photo Ross, and I don't know if you'll get to the other thread where I answered your question, no Mcon35 just a 7+ close up lens. for the Starling, you caught the sheen on his back so nicely, great colours. Now a Question from me, the Tcon 300, how do you fare carring the beast around it looks like it weighs as much as one of my children LOL. ;)

This European starling (coast to coast in lower 48) is one of my least favorite birds, but it is a very good photograph.

Looks like a good capture of a starling?...good colors and exposure... you caught all those colors which otherwise might have appeared black...but I am confused...the lens says 420...is that the 300 plus the 14B?...if there is another lense besides the 300 I'm ready to get it...appreciate any info...and again, a beautiful picture
