Nice shot Wayne. Might be a tad more dynamic if it was 1/3 sky (or ground) and 2/3 ground (or sky) in the compositional stage . . . the line down the center seems to make the shot less dynamic than it has to be (IMO). There is a lot of wonderful detail in this capture . . . so rather than a crop a better framing during the shoot might have yielded some much more dynamic images. I like the detail and the eye for the shot you have here. Good uses of light and the color seems rich and realistic. I'm attaching a crop of your shot as an example, though not necessarily for this shot, of what I'm trying to say about the dynamic feel of the off-centered composition. Besides a horizon out of the center, the dead cactus subject has been pulled out of the center. The result lacks a lot of the exquisite details your shot has before the crop . . . but seems more dynamic and that's what i was trying to explain . . . so . . . good shot, something for you to consider . . . and hello! :)
