Oh, man! Sorry I forgot to comment on this outstanding landscape, Phil. I can appreciate the lengths that photographers will go through to GET the shot. You worked for, waited for it, and GOT it.

Thanks Sam, that bird stood there in that same position for over 5 minutes till he got his fish. I was amazed!

rare achievement, such a sharp bird at a slow enough spead to callow the beatiful flow of the water. Very good one

Actually Keven,this has not been softened in photoshop at all. this was shot at F8 on aperture priority just at sun-up. the temp was 34 degress and a very heavy fog or mist was rising off the river. the shutter speed gave it the milky look and I did do an edge blur to bring the eyes to the middle of the image.
