Such a pleasing shot - Tears of a child is often meaning less for little issues. Nevertheless, they achieve what they want by their little tears. I am sure this little fellow got his candy by his tears.

Congrats Ronny. I'm gonna have to agree with Mr. Vanson on this one - not really anything spectaularly special about this shot IMHO. The background here despite the good use of DOF (as in most of your shots) is highly distracting - perhaps getting a bit closer or cropping tighter would have helped this image become something more than a simple snapshot.

This is the first photo I've rated here and true to nature I'm going to jump right in and say...So? There is nothing to my eyes that comes close to cutting edge here. Yes, this is a cute shot. Does the overmanipulated tear move me? No, nor does the close to blown light on the left side. And the composition...well he's not staring flat on to us. So I'm at odds here. If average is one check and superb is 7 of the little buggers then I should give this an overall rating of two or three checks. But Wait. Will there be a hue & cry from all those who gave this 6? I don't want to get off to a bad start...what do I do? Can I submit this comment And Not rate? Probably the safest but not to my eye the honest way...suggestions anyone?

I just finished a 4-day photo trip during which I shot 14 rolls primarily of faces of the Philippines, on the island of Palawan. This is a great photo you have here (congrats on the photo of the day award). I would have liked to see a slight bit more detail in the eyes or maybe a little more light, but other than that this is fabulous.
