Dalila, Thanks and this shot surprised me as well. This spot was perfect in some ways to try this as the waterfall comes out of a protected 'hole' in the forest and rock helping to shelter the spot from wind. There was almost no wind but the previous 2 attempts were awful mostly due to the wind draft of the traffic passing by. Plus there was a light rain which did not show up in the image (maybe because of the slow shutter speed??)

Greg, No beer the night before Lol! Actually I have to give much of the credit to the SR that is built into the Pentax body (gives up to 4 stops on any lens) and the outside car mirror as a rest. Thanks for the kind comments. Glad you liked it

Great shot, Peter; there couldn't have been a wind at all that day as there isn't even a leaf or blade of grass out of focus.

wow, you must have a really steady hand to take this without a tripod! i've seen shots like this - have even taken them myself, but rarely have i seen one done so well. great color, composition and the motion in the water is perfect!

Actually no Dave. it's along the highway 104 toward Sydney in what they call 'industrial' Cape Breton. Tricky spot to shoot but I had to try it. The highway has no shoulder and it's constant trucks and traffic. Thanks for the kind comments. The Cabot trail is a 'project' for this fall!

Well done waterfall shot, Peter! Is this along the Cabot Trail? Great colours and composition.
Dave.
