Hello Mira,

Well it truly is unfortunate that you still want to play this silly game. So I guess in your mind if you have several images it somehow makes the impossible possible?!?!

If you read the NASA site then you would know your “so called” photograph of Mars and the Moon is impossible. You would also know that Mars and the Moon were nowhere near each other that night and haven’t been for many months. If you plan on continuing this silliness than I suggest you at least process your images better because they all have rectangular blocks in there centers just the gamma reduced image I posted to you. Whatever your image is, it is NOT Mars and the Moon. I have forwarded you image to my astronomy group however as we all enjoyed the laugh.

Keep them coming Mira … it only reduces any credibility you have as a person and a photographer.

Hi Mira,

Quite simply what is in you shot is not the Moon and mars. The fact is they were nowhere close to each other on that day, and even if they were, Mars would never appear that big to us. If it ever does the Earth would be so affected by the gravity that life on Earth would be GREATLY affected.

Attached is your moon on the left and one of mine on the right. When gamma is lowered yous shows the rectangle indicating manipulation. Mine shows the moon with contrasted lighting. Yours is not the moon but probably a artificial light source.

Please stop the game. This shot was impossible as it never happened. Even NASA has dedicated a webpage to that fact.

Hi Mira,

Unfortunately what you have in your picture is not the Moon and Mars. You see Mars at 12:30 your time would be just 1 degree above the NEE horizon, and the moon would be at 45 degrees directly south. Mars was also barely bright enough to be like an average star, and about the same size as one too. If we could ever see or photograph Mars and the Moon like you claim with this picture, our planet would be in peril! I would like to think that you simply made a mistake but by processing the gamma in your image I could see your “moon” has a large white rectangle in the center. No camera or normal processing of an image could produce this. It’s really unfortunate that this Mars the size of the moon hoax keeps being sent each year at this time, but it’s even worse when people attempt to make false claims or images of this impossible event.

See NASA’s website for more info if you like:

Dear Shane thanks for ur comment
This shot was taken on the 28 of Aug
At 00:30 Cairo local time
I was told that mars will be clear to every one on earth
Every body will see 2 moons in the sky
so I went to a high point in Cairo
Which is elmokatamhill
And for my shock I didn’t see except our normal moon
But through my camera I saw it it is not a reflection as I thought at first
It wasn’t clear by eye because it was so fogy and the pollution as well
It is not that clear but I am so happy that I captured it

waiting for a comment And hope this is what you wanted to know
Don’t hesitate to ask any other thing
We are here to share
