Don't get me going on D.C.'s traffic Leora! :) It is bad! :) I alwyas remind my friends and relatives to whenever they decide to get into D.C. and Northern VA's traffic- just make sure you you use the restroom first before sitting in your car or just have "Depend & Diapers" on yourself and your kids as there is hardly any rest areas on the way!!! ;)) And say a 40 miles of distance would take you about 3 to 3.5 hrs of driving to get to your destination.
