Cheers Ivona, yes it is a type of lizard. You would probably need a reptile licence to have one as a pet here but I guess it could be done.

Thanks J, yes they are interesting looking, bizarre even. I was surprised at how well it came out given that it was taken at an angle through glass of a display case at the Alice Springs Desert Park.

Thaks Hussam, absolutely it is real. I did cheat a little though as this was taken through glass in the nocturnal area at the Alice Springs Desert Park.
