This is very dramatic. Beautiful contrast here -- the definition in the lines is powerful here. I like the way you have cropped the right side of his face so that he is not smack in the center, yet there is nothing going on behind him. It is to nice effect. I agree that dodging the eye would improve this as that is one of the first things that struck me after I was finished appreciating everything else. He's a keeper. Congrats. Antonia

Excellent details and tight crop. Only thin that I would suggest to improve this wonderful portrait is dodge the eye a little to make it come out.
