About I just love all the different shades of green in the early spring. This was I took after a "fresh" walk in the woods, passing the bridge would bring me back to "the busy world" outside.

Wonderful shot, Diana ~ everything as it ought to be!
You've done a terrific job with colours, composition and light.
Well done.
Regards, Chris.
P.S. I'd love to explore your whole portfolio but, as a busy pastor, my time is very limited!! Nonetheless, I shall definitely look out for your pic's when I'm on-line.

Yes you are right; a similar mood as in my "Towards the Light". I like the symbolism in this composition very much: the bridge in the center which leads into the sunlight; has an existential expression. Beautiful !!

Hi Ken,
It really was supposed to be this way. I wanted to get all the attention to the bright place after passing the bridge. That is why I gave it the title "walking out of the shadows". To me it was symbolic. I had a long walk in the woods by myself when I felt depressed; then, when I came out of the woods, almost home, I felt better and the world looked so much brighter then. Walking in the woods really works!

The problem with building an arched bridge... is one needs skill, as this photographer has demonstrated hers... and should she want to see another... please be free to view http://www.usefilm.com/image/186549.html

A wonderful shot. Such a difficult shot to get the exposure right. Unfortunately the back green in the sun draws all your eye and the lovely bridge is left on its own. You could try again in diffrent light conditions.

I like the bridge in the middle, good composition. All the attention goes to the bright spot in the back. Yes, walking into the sunlight. This gives me a happy feeling, so bright!

the bridge loooks a bit wet.. the best time to shoot images are during or after the rain.. rain cleans up and brightens colors.. a natural cleaning agent..

A lovely scene but I think the bridge should be placed off centre and the background lighting is too bright resulting in washed out colours. A small area of bright light would be ok but here there is too much.

Diana, je bent een top fotograaf (kijkend naar je album).. hoewel het licht hier wat te sterk was, wist je het goed te meesteren .. prachtige foto .. Peter

A charming composition of an idyllic scene. The highlights and shadows interplay with one another quite nicely. A lovely capture.

This is a difficult light condition and one can easily get an overexposed or underexposed shot, but you managed the lighting very well and captured a nice subject. Only one suggestion.. to put more attention to the little bridge, you could use a bit of zoom to unfocus the background or blur it with PS (I think that is distracting). Regards Massimo

Spring is a lovely time of year with all the new things coming out. This is great with the bridge centered in the picture rather than the diagonal approach. Nice realistic colors. Very good work. Don.

Fresh and green! I can see why you composed the bridge in the middle. Good choise, now you can also reverse the title: walking into the sunlight. Refreshing!
