You're right... problem was when I took the shot I didn't realise how low the light was, few moments before I used the same ISO and shutter speed and it was ok.
I attach a crop from the original pic...
You have an amazing portfolio, btw :)

A very lovely black and white. Although to grainy for my taste. There would have been more mystique to the flower if it had a smoother texture in the photo I think. But I love the contrast it has with the complete black background.
