if stage is where we play, then here is a place!
i do second the thought that most visited places get most snapshots (sometimes more than that but still just something added to perspective/ tonality/ contrast and other sterile technicalities)- a picture can deliver much more, like you did this time Avi, having that part reflected to a soul~ like a bee in the heaven of nectar!!

Hi Gary,
I live in New York. I was in AZ this April .. it was a great experience .. amazing landscapes and the canyons. It seems like a different world..
you must have a great pride for the place..

I think the problem is that this scene is so glorious and so familiar to people interested in photography that the inclusion of the person was like a slap. I think you did something different, with the person it is like yes this place does exist on earth :) very beautiful work!

Including a human figure in a landscape is always a hot topic of debate between landscape 'purists' and not-so-purists (like me and txules).. in my case, more often than not, I am compelled to INCLUDE - because I feel it gives the viewer a sense of perspective. The viewer, who may have never visited that place or even, may never will, can somewhat relate to the environment in it's completeness and magnitude.
having said that, on this particular shot the pose was probably a bit too 'staged' (although that INDEED was my intention .. but I feel I may have been carried away a bit)
ok, I am done with what I had to say. now you can call the Gestapo :):):)
